The Team

The VP, Global Partners Strategy & Programs Leader is responsible for defining and executing Hitachi Vantara’s global partner strategy and programs to support growth, scale, and long‑term business success. This role designs the development of a globally consistent, regionally effective partner operating model that enables partner‑led growth, expands market reach, and accelerates customer impact.

Operating at a senior leadership level, this role collaborates closely with executive stakeholders across Sales, Partners, Product, Marketing, Services, Finance, and Operations, influencing priorities and driving alignment to deliver measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, operational discipline, and the ability to lead through influence in a complex, matrixed global organization.

The Role

Global Partner Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Define and evolve the global partner strategy in alignment with Hitachi Vantara’s growth objectives, go‑to‑market priorities, and long‑term business strategy.
  • Design, implement, and scale global partner programs that drive partner‑sourced and partner‑influenced revenue, improve partner capability, and increase partner effectiveness.
  • Establish a clear global partner framework that balances standardization and scalability with regional market needs.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable priorities, execution roadmaps, and success measures.

Driving Growth & Scale Through Partners

  • Enable sustainable business growth by optimizing partner coverage models, routes‑to‑market, and ecosystem engagement.
  • Partner with regional and sales leadership to ensure strong adoption and execution of partner programs globally.
  • Identify opportunities to improve partner productivity, engagement, and return on investment through data‑driven analysis.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leaders on partner strategy, investments, and performance.
  • Influence and align key stakeholders across Sales, Partners, Product, Marketing, Services, Finance, and Operations to create an integrated partner experience.
  • Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations effectively to executive audiences.

Governance, Performance & Insights

  • Define and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure partner impact, program effectiveness, and business contribution.
  • Establish governance forums to drive clarity, accountability, and execution discipline across global partner initiatives.
  • Leverage insights and analytics to inform decision‑making, prioritization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure transparency and consistency in partner engagement, reporting, and execution.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing global partner leadership team (direct and/or matrixed).
  • Build strong organizational capability in ecosystem thinking, partner collaboration, and scalable execution.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in global partnerships, alliances, or ecosystems within a complex, enterprise technology environment.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing partner programs that drive growth and scale at a global level.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders across functions and regions.
  • Strong understanding of global go‑to‑market models, partner ecosystems, and enterprise sales motions.
  • Extensive experience operating effectively in a highly matrixed, global organization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and executive‑presence capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
