Leading global communications for neuroscience, cardiovascular, and established products, the VP Global Neuroscience/Cardio/EP manages strategy, launch execution, growth brand messaging, and issues management.This VP maximizes commercial opportunities through orchestrated communications and market shaping,impactingpolicy, stakeholder engagement, and brand visibility in high-revenue markets.
Reporting to the Global Head, VP of Innovative Medicine Communications & Public Affairs (a member of the IM Global Operating Committee) this leaderoversees of24 --10direct reports and a global team of anadditional14 indirect reportsincluding directors and senior managers specializing in communications and public affairs. Whereas the other Therapeutic Area Roles are focused on a single therapeutic area, this role is uniquely complex, charged with our fastest growing segment (Neuroscience), a future growth potential area (Cardiology) and the established products portfolio which still delivers significant revenue and is the highest generator of issues for our business. Communicationsisat the center of managing risk, competitive threat, and reputation impact for the established medicines portfolioThe VPGlobal Neuroscience is accountable for global messaging for the therapeutic area and every individual product, market shaping, contentcreationand campaigns as well as overseeing execution in countries around the world. This role will act as a business partner to members of the Global Operating Committee – the Worldwide Vice President of Oncology and the Global Therapeutic Area Lead in Research & Development as well as the Office of the Chief Medical OfficerThe VP Global Neuro/CV/EP will work cross-functionally to ensure impactful communications that drive revenue generation and brand growth, while influencing policy, advocacy, access strategies, and stakeholderperceptionsacross geographies.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead global communications strategy for Neuroscience, Cardiovascular, and Established Products portfolios.
Drive launch excellence, growth brand messaging, and issues managementinhigh‑revenuemarkets.
Own global messaging and positioningacross products and disease areas.
Serve as a senior advisor on risk, reputation, and competitive threat, particularly for Established Products.
Partner closely with Public Affairs, OCMO, and enterprise stakeholders on policy, advocacy, and access issues
Lead and develop a global communications teamoperatingacross multiple therapeutic segments.
Act as a core IM CPA leader, contributing to enterprise priorities andcross‑portfolioalignment.
Education
Bachelor’s degreerequired
Advanced degree in Communications, Life Sciences, Business, or Public Policy preferred
Experience and Skills
Required
Minimum15+ years of senior leadership experience in communications or public affairs
Demonstrated experience leading complex,multi‑portfoliocommunications strategies spanning growth, future growth, and established products
Strongexpertisein issues management, reputation protection, and competitive risk mitigation
Ability to manage communications inhigh‑revenue,high‑riskenvironments where reputation directlyimpactsperformance

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$199,000.00 - $366,850.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
