About the Role

Accruent is seeking a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead a critical finance function supporting enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, performance management, and executive decision support. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will oversee Accruent’s global FP&A team as well as Revenue Operations and Sales Incentive Administration, providing financial rigor, commercial insight, and operating discipline across the business.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially oriented finance executive who can translate business performance into actionable insights, build scalable planning and reporting processes, and partner closely with Accruent’s executive leadership team. The VP, FP&A will lead the finance partners who work directly with Accruent’s L1 executive leaders to manage budgets, evaluate investment choices, monitor performance, and improve forecast accuracy. The role also carries responsibility for the commercial reporting, analytics, sales incentive design, and commercial data governance capabilities that support forecasting, pipeline management, and sales incentive administration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead Accruent’s global FP&A function, including annual operating plans, long-range planning, monthly and quarterly forecasting, financial modeling, management reporting, and performance analysis.
• Drive a disciplined planning cadence that enables timely visibility into revenue, margin, expense, cash flow, headcount, productivity, and investment performance.
• Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to evaluate business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions that improve financial outcomes.
• Develop and continuously improve forecasting models, reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards, and executive-level financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Lead variance analysis, scenario planning, resource allocation reviews, and business case development for strategic initiatives, organizational investments, and productivity opportunities.

Executive Finance Partnership

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance partners who support Accruent’s L1 executive leaders and their organizations.
• Ensure each function has strong financial partnership, clear budget ownership, timely performance visibility, and practical insights to guide decisions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders by translating financial data into operational implications, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
• Support executive operating reviews, business reviews, board-related materials, and Fortive reporting requirements with clear, accurate, and decision-oriented analysis.
• Strengthen financial accountability across the organization by improving budget discipline, investment governance, and visibility into ROI.

Revenue Operations, Commercial Analytics & Data Governance

• Lead Revenue Operations capabilities focused on commercial reporting, analytics, pipeline visibility, forecast support, and sales productivity insights.
• Partner with Commercial, Finance, Business Transformation, and Systems teams to improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, commercial operating rhythms, and data quality.
• Own governance for commercial data used in forecasting, pipeline analysis, bookings reporting, sales incentive processes, and executive decision-making.
• Drive scalable reporting and analytics that support sales leadership, revenue planning, territory and quota analysis, bookings performance, and commercial productivity.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve commercial reporting processes while strengthening confidence in the underlying data.

Sales Incentive Administration & Plan Design Support

• Lead the Sales Incentive Administration team responsible for calculating sales incentive commissions and administering plan designs for commercial team members across Accruent.
• Ensure incentive calculations are accurate, timely, well-controlled, and aligned to approved plan designs, commercial priorities, and compensation governance requirements.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, and Revenue Ops on sales incentive design, annual plan changes, policy interpretation, exception management, and communication readiness.
• Establish strong controls, documentation, auditability, and issue-resolution processes for incentive administration.
• Use incentive performance data to inform plan effectiveness, selling behavior, forecast quality, and commercial productivity opportunities.

Leadership, Talent & Operating Discipline

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team across FP&A, Revenue Operations, and Sales Incentive Administration.
• Create clear priorities, operating rhythms, performance expectations, and development plans that strengthen service levels and business partnership.
• Model a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, data integrity, collaboration, and execution excellence.
• Apply process discipline and continuous improvement tools to simplify planning, reporting, forecast, and incentive administration processes.
• Partner effectively across a global, matrixed organization and influence outcomes through strong business acumen, credibility, and executive presence.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business finance, or strategic finance roles.
• 7+ years of people leadership experience, including experience leading managers and/or multi-disciplinary finance and operations teams.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and executive-level financial analysis.
• Strong commercial finance experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS, enterprise software, technology, or recurring revenue business model.
• Experience partnering directly with CFOs, executive leadership teams, and functional leaders on financial performance, resource allocation, operating reviews, and strategic decisions.
• Proven ability to lead global teams and operate effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
• Strong understanding of revenue forecasting, pipeline management, commercial analytics, bookings reporting, quota attainment, and sales productivity drivers.
• Experience with sales incentive plans, commission administration, sales compensation governance, or close partnership with Sales Compensation/Revenue Operations teams.
• Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and systems skills; experience with ERP, EPM, CRM, BI, and reporting platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, or similar tools.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial and operational information into clear business recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Experience in a Fortive, Danaher, or similar operating environment with strong exposure to continuous improvement, operating reviews, and KPI-driven management.
• Experience supporting a global software, SaaS, data, analytics, or technology-enabled services business.
• Familiarity with sales incentive plan design, commercial compensation governance, and cross-functional plan administration.
• Experience improving finance and commercial reporting through automation, data governance, analytics platforms, or enterprise data architecture.

Leadership Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded finance leader who combines analytical depth with practical operating judgment. This leader should be able to move fluidly from executive-level strategy discussions to detailed financial and operational problem solving, bringing clarity, discipline, and sound judgment to complex business decisions. They will be comfortable challenging assumptions, identifying performance gaps, and helping leaders make informed tradeoffs while maintaining strong partnerships across the organization.

This role requires a leader who can build trust quickly, develop strong talent, improve processes, and strengthen connectivity between Finance and the business. The successful candidate will bring executive presence, high integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead through influence in a global environment. They should be energized by helping a growing software business improve forecast accuracy, resource allocation, commercial visibility, and disciplined execution.
