Our client is a leading international law and professional services firm, providing legal, corporate, and fiduciary solutions to global corporations, financial institutions, capital market participants, and investment fund managers. We are seeking a Vice President – Fiduciary Solutions to join our client’s highly regarded fiduciary services team in the Cayman Islands. Reporting to the team lead, this senior role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of companies, administering complex transactions, and acting in fiduciary capacities across a range of fund, corporate, and bespoke trust structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act in a fiduciary capacity as a director, manager, or officer to a variety of legal structures, including funds, corporates, and trusts, fulfilling all fiduciary duties.
  • Liaise with attorneys, investment managers, administrators, auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders regarding new business setup, ongoing matters, and queries.
  • Chair and facilitate board meetings, ensuring effective discussion, sound decision-making, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and approve financial statements to ensure fiduciary duties are discharged appropriately.
  • Assess potential new business, including detailed review of transaction documents, preparation of fee proposals, and drafting of new business acceptance requests.
  • Analyse deal documents, manage complex transactions under tight timelines, and liaise directly with clients and counsel.
  • Manage accounts receivable and billing for your portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory obligations, with appropriate documentation.
  • Enhance internal controls, operating procedures, and risk management practices.
  • Maintain accurate records in the client database, from onboarding to transaction closure.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional development.
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects as required.

Key Requirements

  • Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or attorney) and a degree in business, law, or finance.
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a CIMA Registered Director under the Cayman Islands Directors Registration and Licensing Act.
  • 5–7 years’ relevant fiduciary and financial services experience.
  • Proven experience working with fund, corporate, and trust structures; additional exposure to CIMA-registered funds, unit trusts, or insurance is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance practices and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Commercial awareness of local and international financial services issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing and building strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit and interpret data.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability, and proven capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
