Job Description
The Vice President (VP),Global Head of Enterprise Governance, is a critical leadership role responsible for designing, leading, and continuously enhancing the bank’s enterprise-wide governance framework. This includes defining Group-level standards, decision rights, accountability, while ensuring strong oversight, clear escalation mechanisms, and alignment across the bank’s operating model.
This leader will drive the bank’s commitment to sound corporate governance practices across all regions and functions, ensuring transparency, integrity, and resilience in an increasingly complex global regulatory environment.
- Own and maintain the Group’s governance framework covering all business units, functions, and entities.
- Oversee the implementation of a comprehensive global governance strategy aligned with the bank’s objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
- Define governance standards for delegation of authority, decision-making processes, and reporting lines.
- Champion a culture of strong governance and ethical behaviour across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff, SPOCs and Governance functions across all business lines and control functions to drive culture change and align the bank-wide governance framework, and risk appetites.
- Monitor emerging governance trends, regulatory changes, and global best practices impacting financial services.
- Provide oversight of processes for monitoring regulatory developments and translating them into governance frameworks.
- Monitor and challenge Group-level adherence to regulatory expectations across jurisdictions.
- Act as a strategic liaison with global regulators, supporting examinations, inquiries, and supervisory dialogues.
- Oversee governance aspects of regulatory reviews, remediation programs, and inspections, ensuring effective accountability and escalation.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
- Certified Corporate Governance Professional (CCGP) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in governance, compliance, risk management, or legal functions within a large, complex, and globally regulated financial institution.
- Proven Track Record in Developing & Implementing Governance Frameworks: Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and embedding robust corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures at a global scale.
