The Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Fraud Management role demands a visionary and results-oriented individual with deep expertise in fraud risk management, data analytics, and the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team. This VP will lead RBFCU's comprehensive fraud defense strategy, overseeing all aspects of prevention, detection, investigation, and loss mitigation. In addition this VP will drive a culture of proactive risk management and champion the use of data analytics and cutting-edge technology to safeguard member assets, minimize financial loss, and protect the credit union's reputation.

This position is for our ASC location, (main campus) located at: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Own, establish and provide executive oversight to RBFCU's fraud risk strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, risk appetite, and member service commitments.
• Advise senior leadership, Board Committees, and the Board of Directors on fraud risk exposure, emerging threats, and program effectiveness.
• Lead the Enterprise Fraud Management department, establishing policies, controls, and mitigation strategies to combat fraud and reputation risk.
• Foster cross-functional accountability and coordination to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate fraud risk and achieve collective goals.
• Anticipate changes in fraud trends, technologies, and criminal behavior, ensuring RBFCU remains adaptive and ahead of emerging risks.
• Develop strategic business decisions by evaluating fraud risk implications and recommending effective mitigation approaches.
• Serve as the executive sponsor and primary point of accountability for fraud-related regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while advancing fraud strategies that reflect industry best-practices.
• Represent RBFCU within industry groups, law enforcement partnerships, and professional forums.
• Establish fraud risk tolerances, key risk indicators, and performance metrics to measure program effectiveness.
• Own the Enterprise Fraud Management budget and resource strategy, ensuring effective allocation of personnel, technology, and vendor investments while balancing member experience, risk mitigation, and organizational objectives.
• Build and develop a high performing team of managers, driving a culture of proactive risk management and safeguarding member assets.
• Provide executive sponsorship and approval for enterprise fraud investments, strategic initiatives, and third-party partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational risk strategy and long-term business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or nine years' job related work experience in lieu of Bachelors degree
• Minimum of five years of Financial Institution experience
• Minimum of five years of supervisory/management experience
• Must be able/willing to commute to the work location at: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233, hybrid schedule
• Type and 10-key by touch. Proficient in utilizing PC, software, and other office equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Accumulate required education and/or professional experience needed to become a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
