Title and Summary
Vice President, Digital Asset Treasury SolutionsMastercard is seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Vice President, Digital Asset Treasury Solutions to define and build the next generation of treasury capabilities supporting digital assets, stablecoins, and emerging payment paradigms.
This role will sit at the intersection of traditional finance and digital asset innovation, partnering across treasury, product, engineering, and external partners to design and operationalize scalable, compliant, and efficient treasury frameworks. The VP will evaluate and integrate existing Mastercard treasury capabilities (including multi-rail settlement infrastructures and FX trading) into the development of a digital asset platform.
The ideal candidate is a strategic builder with deep expertise in both traditional treasury and crypto/digital asset operations, capable of navigating ambiguity and creating new operating models across a complex, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Treasury Architecture & Capability Development
•Conduct a comprehensive assessment of Mastercard’s existing treasury infrastructure and functions (including treasury management platforms, liquidity management, settlement systems and FX trading capabilities) and define how these can be extended to support digital assets.
• Evaluate and integrate digital asset partner capabilities into Mastercard’s treasury ecosystem.
• Design a scalable, future-ready digital asset treasury operating model that supports Mastercard’s digital asset commercialization strategy, balancing efficiency, risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Design and implement risk frameworks covering market, liquidity, counterparty, and operational risks in digital asset environments partnering with cross-functional partners from Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory adherence and establish governance structures for treasury decision making, including limits, policies, and escalation protocols
• Design the digital asset treasury functions including:
o Liquidity management across fiat and digital assets, ensuring optimal capital allocation, funding, and settlement readiness across multiple rails and geographies.
o Stablecoin on/off-ramps, custody, settlement flows, and reconciliation across internal systems and external partners.
• Develop crypto trading strategies, including liquidity sourcing, hedging, and optimization across venues.
• Design robust controls, reporting, and monitoring frameworks for digital asset treasury operations, ensuring transparency and auditability.
Product Enablement & Cross-Functional Execution
• Partner closely with product leaders to understand treasury requirements across digital assets initiatives
• Translate product needs into practical treasury solutions, designing flows for funding, settlement, and risk management.
• Act as the primary treasury subject matter expert across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance).
External Partner & Ecosystem Management
• Manage relationships with key external partners (custodians, exchanges, liquidity providers, stablecoin issuers, and fintech partners).
• Negotiate service level agreements, performance metrics, and risk parameters.
• Continuously assess the vendor ecosystem to ensure Mastercard maintains best-in-class capabilities.
Leadership & Capability Buildout
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and execution excellence.
• Define roles, processes, and operating cadence to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
