What you'll be doing
- Lead and grow a portfolio of consumer insights and market research clients, ensuring strong commercial performance and sustainable profitability.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality research, actionable insights, and exceptional client experiences.
- Drive business growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts and developing new client relationships.
- Own and manage revenue targets, profitability objectives, forecasting, and overall financial performance of the business unit.
- Provide inspirational leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of research and client service professionals.
- Lead talent acquisition, capability development, performance management, succession planning, and career progression initiatives.
- Review and provide strategic oversight on research proposals, project design, presentations, and client recommendations.
- Champion innovation by introducing new thinking, methodologies, and approaches that enhance client value and business efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, research standards, quality processes, and governance requirements.
- Represent Kantar at industry forums, client engagements, conferences, and professional events.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to contribute to business strategy, operational excellence, and organisational growth.
- Support cross-functional initiatives that strengthen Kantar’s market position and client impact.
The ideal skills and experience
- Significant experience in consumer insights, market research, or consulting, with a proven track record of leading large client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and their commercial application.
- Demonstrated success in managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and delivering revenue growth.
- Proven ability to develop long-term client relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience identifying and converting business development opportunities.
- Established leadership experience, including building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent project oversight and quality management skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Experience working with multinational clients and complex business environments is desirable.
