Job Description

Job Descriptions:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and operational marketing campaigns for the Credit Card, Merchant, and Personal Financing (CCPF) portfolio. This role is responsible for driving growth in market share and achieving specified commercial targets across targeted segments.
  • Key responsibilities include overseeing the strategic marketing planning process, ensuring alignment with relevant product teams to deliver campaigns on time and in full (OTIF).
  • Additionally, the role involves evaluating campaign effectiveness, prioritizing initiatives, managing reporting, and overseeing the overall marketing budget to optimize resources and maximize impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies, including the annual marketing plan, campaign plans for new product launches, media deployment, creative and PR initiatives to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Keeps abreast of market landscape in order to be able to take actions to capitalise on opportunities such as trends in digital banking and digital marketing.
  • Familiar with, and embraces consumer and customer insights, competitive landscape, market landscape; and are attuned to these factors when planning and deploying campaigns.

Budget Management:

  • Oversee and manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective management of creative, production, and media operations.
  • Optimize marketing budgets through strong strategic partnerships with key media partners and ensure accurate budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage the marketing cycle to ensure timely delivery of collaterals (on time and in full) and prioritize campaigns effectively.

Performance Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Evaluate marketing campaigns against effectiveness and efficiency targets, capturing key learnings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Anticipate potential roadblocks and proactively engage with stakeholders across departments to align objectives and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Units to manage the overall marketing budget.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and banks’ regulatory policies & procedures.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach the team, fostering a culture of innovation, digital fluency, and continuous learning.
  • Inspire team members and prioritize resources to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
  • Manage relationships with third-party agencies (creative, media, digital) and accountable for performance and alignment with marketing objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Review and enhance marketing deployment processes in collaboration with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Shariah, and Business Units, to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Engage with upper management stakeholders to present strategic initiatives, align on objectives, and ensure support for marketing efforts.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the bank's strategic goals.

Job Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in any discipline.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Group Brand Management and consumer retail experience
  • Branding and Marketing communication
  • Proven success track record
  • >5 years of senior management and senior leadership position in either fmcg, e-commerce businesses, banks or telcos. Other qualified candidates not from these industries are also encouraged to apply.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing (including traditional and digital marketing), branding and marketing communications.
  • Proficient in analyzing market data and campaign performance.
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Strong capability to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and proven ability to mentor and inspire a diverse marketing team.
  • Proficient in English and BM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with management and external partners.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance in marketing.
