The Opportunity

Medix Biochemica is seeking a Vice President to Immunoassay Business Unit to lead it with full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.

As Vice President, Business Unit Immunoassay, you will define and execute the BU’s strategy, ensure a competitive and compelling portfolio, and drive sustainable growth. You will be a full member of the Medix Leadership Team, actively contributing to Medix’s overall corporate direction and long‑term success.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape a business at scale—combining strategic vision, commercial leadership, and customer focus.

Your Key Responsibilities

Business & Commercial Leadership

• Hold full accountability for revenue, profitability, and growth of the Immunoassay BU

• Develop and execute the BU business strategy, including portfolio and pricing strategy

• Ensure product competitiveness through effective product lifecycle management

• Identify and drive new business opportunities and partnerships

• Maintain deep customer insight and build a strong Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network

• Support commercial regions and strengthen Key Account Management capabilities

• Lead product launches, positioning, and sales enablement initiatives

• Ensure customer insights and market research inform BU planning and execution

Strategy & Innovation

• Monitor market, technology, and segment trends to guide strategic direction

• Develop and maintain a five‑year business plan aligned with Medix Group strategy

• Build and own a product roadmap aligned with customer needs and market demand

• Partner with R&D and Product Management to create a strong innovation pipeline

• Optimize return on R&D investments

• Actively participate in M&A and business development evaluations related to the BU

Leadership & People Management

• Build and lead a high‑performing BU leadership team

• Foster a results‑driven, collaborative, and customer‑focused culture

• Develop talent and succession within the organization

General Management

• Lead multidisciplinary teams, managing dedicated R&D and Product Management resources

• Collaborate in a matrix with global functions including Manufacturing, Quality, Product Marketing, Commercial Operations, HR, and Finance

• Own BU budget, forecasting, and performance reporting

• Report monthly to the Medix Group Leadership Team and address deviations proactively

Your Background & Experience

Required

• Senior leadership experience with responsibility across multiple business functions

• Proven track record in building and expanding a portfolio within IVD raw materials, IVD tests, or Life Science Tools

• Previous full P&L ownership

• Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen

• Fluent English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

• Experience with M&A, partnerships, or acquisitions

• Background in both large and mid‑size organizations

• Deep understanding of relevant markets, technologies, and industry dynamics
