Reporting to Head of Business Compliance & Strategic Management, the job holder is expected to spearhead the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth, profitability, and competitive advantage within the Wholesale Banking division. This role is responsible for driving business initiatives, conducting market analysis and strategic project management to support senior leadership in decision-making and long-term planning.
What you will be doing:
Business Planning and Strategies Implementation
Prepare clear, compelling, and data-driven presentation materials for senior management, internal teams, and external stakeholders to communicate strategic plans, business performance, and market insights.
Analyze business metric, pipeline data and market trend to provide actionable insights to optimize business performance for Wholesale Banking division
Develop, implement, and monitor business strategies and plans to achieve growth targets, optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency
Analyze key changes in market trends, competitor activities, and benchmarks to inform Wholesale Banking decisions and enhance the implementation of strategic initiatives
Drive cross-functional projects and initiatives that align with the bank’s wholesale banking strategy
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership
Develop a strategic point of view and formalize business strategies for Head of Wholesale Banking
Manage and monitor Wholesale Banking’s loan and deposit portfolio as a whole to ensure alignment with business objectives, optimize asset-liability management, and support risk mitigation strategies
Utilize advanced data analytics to generate actionable insights, track operating targets, and measure business performance against strategic objectives
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting Wholesale Banking.
Take the lead to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business / finance / data science related discipline
10+ years of relevant banking experience or consulting for financial services
Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Good understanding of Wholesale Banking business and products
Stakeholder management and be able to manage multiple senior stakeholders
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
In-depth understanding and experience in the financial or banking sector
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with capability to connect market trends, business performance drivers and internal data with strategic implications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
Presentable and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset
Detail-oriented with a "can-do" attitude, well-organized and able to multi-task
Ability to manage ambiguity and devise next step actions towards end outcome
Passionate about driving transformation and change, and have a curious mind to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutions
Highly organised, and able to multi-task
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
