We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the International Wealth and Premier Banking team in an exciting new role.

Job Introduction

Vice President- Business Development, Strategic Channels role lies within the Distribution network of International Wealth & Premier Banking at HSBC. The role holder will assume responsibility for High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) and Ultra High Net Worth Individual (UHNWI) customer acquisition for wealth management services, in the assigned city/ region, by building and managing relationships with referral partners like Law firms, CA firms, Real Estate consultants and other professionals. This is an individual contributor role. The individual will be responsible for building new referral partners, enhance engagement with existing partners and ensure an ongoing inward referral flow of HNWI customers from these referral partners. This role is best suited for dynamic individuals who can initiate and manage referral relationships with senior and experienced professionals.

Principle Responsibilities: -

  • Acquire New To Bank HNWI customers for wealth management and international banking services by generating referrals from Investment Firms, Investment Law firms, CA firms, Family Office Advisors, Real Estate consultants, Industry associations and other professionals.
  • Identify and build new referral partners and engage with them consistently through meetings, events, networking forums to build an increasing inflow of referrals from these referral partners.
  • Manage the referral flow funnel from referral initiation till conversion and contribute to lifecycle revenue
  • Meet Operating Plan Target numbers for New To Bank HNWI customers acquired every month and other Banking products as assigned from time to time.
  • Ensure exceptional on-boarding experience for new customers through seamless handover to assigned Relationship Managers and Branch Teams.
  • Conceptualise and execute micro and macro events and campaigns to engage potential new customers , referral partners and internal teams.
  • Represent the Bank at networking and industry events.
  • Provide all required support including training and information to Referral Partners to encourage them to refer new customers.
  • Stay aware and updated of HSBC wealth management and international banking services in order to be an ambassador for HSBC in the external market.
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation in financial markets.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards and foster a compliance culture within the team through identification, assessment mitigation and control of risks.

Education Qualifications / Certifications and Requirements:-

  • Post Graduation with additional qualifications would be preferable.
  • Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Sales/ Business Development experience in Wealth Management, Personal Banking, Corporate banking or industries that thrive on partnership referral ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of Financial services & Wealth management market in India will be an advantage
  • Having network/ relationships with Investment Law Firms, CA Firms is a strong advantage

Skills

  • Excellent networking and relationship skills, Communication and Presentation skills, Professional maturity, ability to engage with senior management & CXOs.

Additional Tip:

Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage
