YOUR ROLE

In this regional leadership role, you will be responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and strategic expansion across the North American region. Reporting directly to the Global Head Office, this executive will lead the development and execution of business development strategies, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new sales and marketing opportunities. You will oversee commercial and pricing strategies, sales channel development, strategic partnerships, and new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with global objectives and sustainable growth for the business unit or regional function.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Business Development Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for North America, aligned with global priorities.
  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Lead strategic planning processes to prioritize growth initiatives and resource allocation.

Sales and Marketing Growth:

  • Drive commercial and pricing strategy formulation to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Design and implement innovative sales channel strategies
  • Oversee the development and launch of new products, services, and solutions tailored to market needs.

Revenue Models and Commercial Planning:

  • Develop and refine revenue models to support sustainable business growth.
  • Establish and optimize sales and distribution channels across the region.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing strategies in response to market dynamics.

Investment Prioritization & Project Management:

  • Prioritize and track investments in new product development and business initiatives.
  • Oversee project management for the integration and launch of new business ideas or acquisitions.
  • Evaluate the financial and operational impact of new initiatives, ensuring effective execution and ROI.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams within the business development function.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy, ideally within a multinational context.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale business development initiatives, negotiations, and partnerships in North America.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in revenue modeling, commercial planning, and investment management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and integrating new business ventures or acquisitions.
  • Strategic Leadership: Visionary thinker with ability to set direction and drive execution.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of market dynamics, commercial strategies, and financial modeling.
  • Negotiation & Influence: Skilled negotiator with experience in complex partnership agreements.
  • Project Management: Competent in managing multiple, concurrent initiatives and integrating new business ideas.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change in a fast-paced environment.
