Tasks

As VP of Banking Infrastructure, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing Caiz’s global banking and payments network. You will lead strategic relationships with banking partners, payment service providers, and financial institutions to support fiat on/off ramps, cross-border payments, digital wallets, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires deep expertise in traditional banking systems and a visionary approach to integrating them with blockchain-based financial infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless fiat-crypto connectivity, liquidity flow, and financial interoperability.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute Caiz’s global banking infrastructure strategy, focusing on interoperability between traditional finance and blockchain systems.
• Build and manage partnerships with banks, e-money institutions (EMIs), payment service providers (PSPs), and cross-border payment networks.
• Oversee integration of fiat on/off ramps (e.g., IBAN, SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, Faster Payments) with Caiz wallets, exchange, and user applications.
• Ensure full compliance with international KYC/AML regulations in cooperation with legal and compliance teams.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop secure, user-friendly fiat integration into crypto products.
• Manage treasury operations and liquidity infrastructure to ensure stable flow of fiat and digital assets.
• Lead business continuity planning, transaction monitoring, and operational risk management for fiat gateways.
• Track regulatory changes in banking and payments across global markets relevant to Caiz’s operations.

Requirements

Experience:

• 10+ years in banking, financial infrastructure, or payments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (preferably in fintech or crypto).
• Proven success in launching or managing fiat rails and banking integrations in a multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environment.
• Solid understanding of blockchain-based financial systems and cryptocurrency transaction flows.
• Expertise in global payment systems (SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, RTP, etc.) and digital banking.
• Hands-on experience dealing with financial institutions, regulators, and licensing authorities.

Preferred Skills

• Deep knowledge of Islamic finance or Sharia-compliant banking principles.
• Familiarity with DeFi integrations, stablecoin management, or fiat-pegged crypto systems.
• Experience working with secure custody solutions and AML/KYC technology stacks.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-style blockchain environment with cross-border teams.

Level of studies: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or a related field. (MBA or certifications like CFA, ACAMS, or FinTech-specific credentials are a plus.)
