The Role

The Vice President for B2B Growth & Thought Leadership Marketing in Stock Plan Services (SPS) is responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies that drive engagement, consideration and lead generation in support of client acquisition, development and retention goals. This role involves overseeing all aspects of marketing, including thought leadership & content marketing, digital engagement, demand generation and events that position SPS as a leader in the market.

You will lead a dedicated marketing team within our broader SPS marketing organization and collaborate closely with sales, relationship management, product and thought leadership partners on program strategy, design and execution. You and your team will use data-driven insights to continuously improve performance of marketing-driven initiatives and identify marketing opportunities.

As a member of the SPS Marketing, Communications & Insights leadership team you will work closely with peers to determine strategic focus areas & priorities, coach and support the professional development your direct reports, and model “one team” culture. We are a team of creative problem solvers, productive relationship-builders and have a bias towards action and results

Key areas of focus:

  • Owning the B2B full funnel acquisition marketing strategies and outcomes
  • Oversee the creation and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, events, and content marketing.
  • Strategic seat at the leadership table of the marketing, communications & insights team with voice in overall priorities, workforce management/talent development and change management
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and programs
  • Multiply impact of Fidelity thought leadership through coordinated cross channel execution
  • Oversee strategy through execution of a robust portfolio of owned events and sponsored industry conferences that serve as a channel to engage prospects and source & distribute thought leadership
  • Support engagement of third-party industry partners to optimize as referral channel
  • Monitor the effectiveness of marketing programs, using data-driven insights to optimize performance and ROI
  • Manage a marketing budget for paid media and industry partnerships, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years’ marketing experience with a focus on acquisition/lead generation, thought leadership & content marketing and event marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful marketing strategies and campaigns
  • You are an experienced people leader, skilled at setting strategic direction, translating into proposed initiatives and leading effective execution
  • You have a test-and-learn approach within structured governance and have demonstrated ability to innovate pragmatically
  • You are comfortable navigating highly matrixed organizations – interacting with cross functional teams that span across multiple business units
  • You possess strong strategic and customer focused perspective, and data-driven approach to uncovering business opportunities.
  • You communicate clearly and are comfortable engaging at all levels of management.
  • You can build alignment across stakeholders and motivate colleagues without formal authority.
  • You are intellectually curious and model a culture of learning and coaching.
  • Experience working in financial services and Series 7 preferred but not required

Stock Plan Services (SPS) provides companies with outstanding administration for their equity compensation programs, including stock option, restricted stock, employee stock purchase, stock appreciation and performance plans. Our team, SPS Marketing, Communications & Insights, delivers valuable insights and innovative programs and experiences that help drive SPS client growth & retention and participant engagement with their equity plans and Fidelity. We help millions of participants take advantage of their equity awards and understand how Fidelity can help with their broader financial needs through our Brokerage and Wealth offerings. The base salary range for this position is $125,000-258,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
