We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Asset, Liability and Capital Management (ALCM).

In this role you will:

  • Primarily focus on the management of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) for HSBC Singapore
  • Engaging and liaising with Finance Operations to deliver accurate and timely IRRBB regulatory reports
  • Maintain oversight of the interest rate risk (IRR) buy-in process, including working closely with the Global Businesses, Markets Treasury, Middle Markets and Product Control to ensure completeness of IRR buy-in
  • Monitoring the performance of behaviouralisation assumptions used in the IRR buy-in and hedging framework
  • Support the Head of ALCM on Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) papers; Ensuring controls around data are robust and evolve over time
  • Proactively identifying any IRRBB issues, and wherever possible, propose remediation plan
  • Performing ad hoc analysis in relation to effectively managing interest rate risk for HSBC Singapore
  • Provide subject matter expert input, when required, into IRRBB reporting; Defining and documenting local procedures and guidance for IRRBB

To be successful you will need:

  • Interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) or regulatory reporting background is preferred. Experience in other treasury risk types (e.g. liquidity risk) would also be considered as opportunities may arise to support the management of other treasury risks.
  • Strong analytical skills, including hands on experience in managing large volumes of data with a proven ability to interpret and comment on data issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral; Strong ability to identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls
  • Experience delivering to internal stakeholders such as business functions and senior management
  • Commercially minded and ability to make decisions in a timely manner; Demonstrates excellent teamwork.
