Job Description

JST is currently seeking an experienced Vice President and General Manager, Product & Innovation to join our central team. The Vice President, Product & Growth is a senior executive responsible for owning and executing the company's product-driven growth strategy, with an initial emphasis on the Department of Defense and adjacent regulated markets.

VP & General Manager, Product & Innovation Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a formal market assessment to identify:
    • Identify operational budget owners within regulated and mission-critical markets, including defense and adjacent sectors
    • Identify mission areas with acute, solvable problems
    • Buyers with budget authority and near-term demandCompetitive white space where productized solutions can win
  • Translate mission needs into outcome-based, contractable product concept
  • Define clear value propositions, success metrics, and pricing models
  • Identify and launch 1 flagship AI-enabled product (with optional fast-follower) that:
    • Solves a defensible mission problem
    • Is repeatable, deployable, and contractable
    • AI-enabled decision support, automation, or analytics
    • Drives margin expansion and revenue durability
  • Ensure product strategy aligns with company expectations, including:
    • Clear ownership of IP
    • Scalable delivery model
    • Documented roadmap and backlog

VP & General Manager, Product & Innovation Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience launching productized or solution-based offerings
  • Deep familiarity with DoD acquisition and mission owner dynamics
  • Strong understanding of AI-enabled digital transformation (applied, not theoretical)
  • Proven ability to build pipeline and close revenue
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • This role exists to change the trajectory of the company, not decorate it
  • Treat this role as a revenue-generating executive position, not an innovation lab
  • Make hard prioritization decisions and kill ideas that wont contract
  • Balance product vision with the realities of federal acquisition
  • Be comfortable selling, briefing senior leaders, and owning outcomes
  • Operate with urgency, accountability, and executive presence

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • MUST be able to pass a US Government Security Clearance
