Job Description

Ruder Finn is seeking a Vice President of Analytics to join its award-winning TechLab team. This role will serve as a senior strategic partner to clients and internal teams, connecting paid media strategy, platform performance, campaign optimization, data analytics and measurement across integrated marketing programs. The position works closely with teams across the U.S. and India in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on innovation, AI, emerging technologies, and integrated marketing performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking capabilities and deep experience in paid media analytics, performance marketing, digital measurement, or marketing analytics, ideally within an agency or in-house media environment. They should be highly skilled in translating complex paid media and campaign data into actionable insights and compelling narratives, with experience spanning platform analytics, audience intelligence, attribution, incrementality, and cross-channel measurement. This leader will establish reporting frameworks, measurement standards, and governance practices that drive consistency and scalability across client programs while advancing automated reporting solutions that reduce reliance on manual reporting. This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting major client accounts while contributing to the agency’s broader AI and technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead paid media analytics and measurement across integrated marketing programs, connecting media activity to client business objectives and KPIs.
  • Develop paid media and integrated measurement frameworks, including objectives, KPIs, benchmarks, leading and lagging indicators, reporting requirements, optimization triggers and recommended methodologies.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients and internal teams through data-driven insights, analytics expertise and integrated measurement strategies.
  • Analyze performance across paid social, search, programmatic, OOH/DOOH, and emerging digital channels, delivering actionable insights and optimization recommendations tied to client business objectives.
  • Evaluate campaign performance across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Google Ads, Programmatic DSPs, GA4 and other relevant paid media and analytics tools.
  • Partner with paid media, communications, creative and strategy teams to develop audience strategies, testing plans, optimization approaches and cross-channel measurement programs.
  • Work with large and complex data sets from paid media platforms, ad servers, web analytics, CRM systems, social listening tools, surveys and other sources.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear insights, compelling narratives and actionable recommendations for senior clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain executive-ready dashboards using Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and/or Looker Studio/Data Studio, and create client-facing reports across paid, earned, owned and shared channels.
  • Establish standardized reporting frameworks, KPI definitions, data governance practices, naming conventions and quality assurance processes across client programs.
  • Develop automated or semi-automated reporting solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, consistency and scalability while reducing manual reporting and improving decision-making.
  • Serve as a senior client advisor and contribute to proposals, pitches, scopes of work and the continued development of Ruder Finn’s paid media and analytics offerings.
  • Stay informed on emerging analytics, AI and automation technologies; recommend tools and platforms that enhance agency capabilities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop analytics talent, sharing best practices and supporting agency-wide training and capability building.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience working with an integrated marketing and communications agency, paid media agency, or digital marketing agency or in-house experience in paid media, analytics, or insights-focused roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading paid media analytics, performance analysis and measurement for complex campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of paid social, paid search, programmatic and other digital media channels.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple platforms and sources.
  • Advanced experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI and/or Looker Studio/Data Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of GA4, Excel and Google Sheets; experience with SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with campaign measurement concepts including reach, frequency, attribution, incrementality, conversion, lift, media efficiency and ROI.
  • Ability to define data requirements, identify limitations and develop practical measurement solutions.
  • Familiarity with paid media platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Programmatic DSPs, and Google Ads, as well as web analytics platforms such as GA4.
  • Experience with social listening, media monitoring or competitive intelligence platforms such as Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Cision, Meltwater, Rival IQ or Signal AI is a plus.
  • Experience with APIs, data warehouses, Python, R, AWS or other statistical computing and programming tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, automation, agentic workflows and/or emerging AI-search visibility practices is preferred.
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams.
  • Experience across healthcare, consumer, B2B and/or technology sectors is preferred but not required.
  • Strong client presence, project management skills, independent decision-making abilities, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights and compelling narratives.
