We’re seeking a future team member for the role of VP, AML & Data Analytics Program Manager to join our APAC AML team. This role is located in Singapore
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and support strategic AML initiatives and transformation programs across the end-to-end client lifecycle, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, business priorities, and internal control standards.
- Drive program delivery across multiple workstreams, coordinating timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, and key decisions to ensure successful execution.
- Leverage strong data capabilities to analyze trends, identify thematic issues, assess root causes, and support data-driven decision-making across AML initiatives.
- Oversee the development and use of management information, reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to track program health, delivery progress, risk indicators, and business outcomes.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses across AML processes, and recommend practical remediation strategies and improvement opportunities.
- Support the design and implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance AML processes, controls, workflow effectiveness, and risk management outcomes.
- Manage program governance, including status reporting, issue escalation, decision tracking, steering materials, and senior stakeholder communications.
- Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready updates for senior management, synthesizing complex issues into key messages, risks, dependencies, and actions.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and accountability across stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment, ensuring alignment and timely execution.
- Take a proactive, hands-on approach to identifying and resolving issues, stepping in where needed to remove blockers, maintain momentum, and support successful delivery.
- Challenge existing processes constructively and promote continuous improvement across AML-related initiatives, including data quality, reporting effectiveness, and process design.
- Support responses to regulatory, audit, risk, or internal review activities where program delivery, data analysis, or AML process enhancements are required.
- Contribute to broader AML transformation efforts by helping shape priorities, delivery approaches, and sustainable target-state operating models.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial services, with strong relevant experience in AML, compliance, risk, operations, program management, or transformation delivery.
- Strong understanding of AML regulatory requirements, financial crime risks, and associated operational processes and controls.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex programs or strategic initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong data background, including experience analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, producing management information, and using data to support decision-making and change initiatives.
- Experience working with dashboards, reporting tools, data visualization, or business intelligence solutions is strongly preferred.
- Strong risk mindset, with the ability to identify issues early, assess implications thoughtfully, and make sound, well-balanced decisions in a controlled and practical manner.
- Ability to connect business problems, process issues, and data insights to develop clear, practical, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, assess impacts, and proactively drive issues through to resolution.
- Highly proactive and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to step in, take initiative, and support resolution of issues beyond immediate core responsibilities where needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across Compliance, Operations, Technology, Data, and business teams.
- Experience preparing executive updates, governance materials, and decision papers for senior management forums.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining high standards of execution.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach, strong dependability, and a willingness to contribute positively to team success.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity while bringing structure, momentum, and disciplined execution to complex initiatives.
