The Vice President of Hospital Operations leads operations for area(s) of responsibility, including oversight of effective clinical services delivery, strategic planning and execution, and resource management. Participates as an active member of the clinic executive team; collaborates with peers to ensure optimal service delivery across the organization. Position will entail the oversight of 40+ outpatient locations which are a mix of RHC, HOPD, and for-profit clinics. Will work as a collaborative, dyad partner with Senior Vice President and Chair of Family and Community Medicine. Represents Family and Community Medicine and Carilion Clinic at a regional and a national level through written media, academic journals, public speaking, and by engaging with national leadership in primary care and ambulatory operation organizations.
The Vice President, Hospital Operations (Ambulatory-Family Community Medicine)
Education: Master's degree in health care, nursing, business or related field required.
Experience: 10 years demonstrating progressively responsible leadership experience roles in health care, physician practice management large hospital or health system or operations management required.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Licensed as appropriate for the position in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Proactive leader with experience in strategic innovation, ability to inspire and lead multiple concurrent projects in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team, with high emotional intelligence, analytic acumen, and operational experience. Must be a well-organized and self-directed individual. Must relate to people at all organizational levels and possess excellent communication skills. Serves as a mentor, excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Experience in leadership of teams or projects beyond a departmental level required. Proficient computer skills required.

Compensation Range:
$220,000.00 - $275,000.00
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
