P3Hired is working with a B2B SaaS client that is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting and Finance leader to oversee financial operations and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This individual will play a critical role in scaling financial processes, strengthening controls, and supporting organizational growth.
The ideal candidate brings experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or technology-driven environments, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving organization. This role requires both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, with broad ownership across accounting, financial planning, compliance, and operational support.
Oversee all accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, revenue recognition, and cost accounting
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness
Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and treasury operations
Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes in accordance with GAAP
Oversee tax filings and compliance with applicable statutory requirements
Partner with HR on payroll and benefits-related financial processes
Lead annual financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors
Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
Support and maintain security and compliance programs (e.g., SOC 2, PCI, or similar frameworks)
Oversee corporate insurance programs, including renewals and claims
Review and support negotiation of vendor and customer contracts, ensuring appropriate financial terms and compliance
Support procurement processes and oversee company-wide software and vendor spend
Provide operational support related to facilities, administrative functions, and company infrastructure as needed
Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Partner with department leaders on budgeting, hiring plans, and cost management
Prepare executive-level reporting and support Board/investor reporting
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency
Oversee equity administration, including grants, exercises, and cap table management
Ensure accurate financial reporting related to equity compensation
Support corporate governance activities, including board materials and filings
Partner with HR on onboarding, offboarding, and policy development
Help establish and improve internal processes, documentation, and controls
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization
Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline financial workflows
Evaluate and leverage technology to improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency
Drive continuous improvement across finance and accounting functions
8 - 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles
Prior experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or technology-driven start-up environments strongly preferred
CPA preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606)
Experience with audits, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, PCI), and financial controls
Proficiency with accounting systems and financial planning tools
Experience with equity administration and cap table management preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, scaling environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
