Your New role-
Internal:
Engineering team members, Senior/LeadEngineersand the Engineering Manager (day-to-day technical guidance and code review)
Product Owner, Business Analysts and Designers (refining stories, acceptancecriteriaand UX forminiapps)
Platform and Enablement teams for NAB-X andNABserv(SDK,frameworkand pipeline support)
Other squad / domain engineering teams whose APIs andminiappsintegrate with the team's services
Scrum Master / Delivery Lead for ceremonies and delivery cadence
Risk, Security & Compliance partners:
Cyber Security and Architecture for secure design,authenticationand API standards reviews
Customers / Vendors:
Internal NAB business stakeholders and, ultimately, NABcolleaguesconsuming the digital experiences delivered
Cloud and tooling vendors via NAB's approved platforms
Frontend
Build and maintainminiappsusing the approved web SDK and the Elevatecomponentlibrary, integrating with the NABX shell for navigation and shell-managed authentication.
Implement accessible, responsive UI that meets NABdesign-systemand accessibility standards.
Backend
Develop backend services as server functions and microservices (Java / Spring Boot, built with Gradle).
Implement REST APIs following NAB's contract-first,OpenAPIand versioning standards, including validation, errorhandlingand structured logging.
What you'll bring-
Quality & delivery:
Write andmaintainautomated tests (unit,componentand integration) using tools such as JUnit, Mockito andWireMock, and frontend test frameworks.
Apply secure-by-design practices –mTLSservice communication, secure handling of secrets/certificates, and adherence to NAB API security standards.
Participate in CI/CD: building,containerisingand deploying services through NAB pipelines
Engage fully in agile ceremonies – refinement, planning, stand-ups,reviewsand retrospectives.
Completeclearly-scopeddevelopment tasks under guidance, raising blockers early and seeking review.
Help triage and fix defects and respond to production support items with support from senior engineers.
Actively learn NAB platforms,tooling andstandards, and contribute to documentation.
