
The University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for a full-time faculty member at the rank of Associate or Full Professor for a Vice Chair position for Clinical Operations. This senior leadership position, reporting to the Department Chair, will work with the Department’s leadership team to implement the Department’s clinical strategic plan through oversite, daily management and coordination of a rapidly growing set of ambulatory and hospital based of clinical operations. These clinical operations are highly aligned with Departmental educational and research activities and are dependent on collaborative input and strategic direction from the leadership of the University Faculty Practice Plan and the University of Chicago Hospital administration.
Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) Board-certified in General Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and subspecialty board certification, if eligible, and 4) have residency training in an approved ACGME Adult or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
