Job Description

VCA Lafayette Animal Hospitalis looking to add a RegisteredVeterinary Technician to our leadership team as a Technician Supervisor.

Schedule:Full-time opportunity, 4 x10 hourshifts with rotating Saturdays.

CompensationPay range isdeterminedby skill set and years of experience in the field.

You will work alongside our Medical Director and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment. You will have the opportunity to build your leadership skills and have a clear career path.

In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing department policies and procedures.

  • Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings.

  • Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs.

  • Interviewing,trainingand mentoring new and existing staff.

  • Delivering employee performance feedback.

  • Monitoring day-to-day activities and engaging with support staff

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or eligible to transfer state license (LVT, CVT, LVMT).
