Bedford Veterinary Medical Center is a state of the art, multi-doctor hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Southern New Hampshire area. At our sister hospital in Hudson, Lowell Road Veterinary Center, we offer rehabilitation services such as underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, laser therapy, modality exercises, and more. This position will include teaching and mentoring a team to be successful in all aspects of veterinary technology! The Floor Supervisor is responsible for oversight for both the technician team as well as the customer service team. This position will be approximately 75% working on the floor and 25% administrative duties
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management, and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
