What You’ll Do

• Support veterinarians in providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
• Assist with examinations, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients
• Obtain patient histories and collect vital information for the medical team
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples within your training and skill level
• Assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic imaging
• Administer medications and treatments under veterinarian direction
• Support surgical preparation, patient monitoring, and recovery as appropriate to your training and responsibilities
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about patient care and veterinarian recommendations
• Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
• Keep treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow support team members to maintain an efficient daily workflow
• Take ownership of responsibilities and follow through to support positive patient outcomes
• Contribute to a supportive, team-first hospital culture
