What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
  • Administer medications, injections, fluids, and treatments as directed
  • Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery during surgical procedures
  • Perform venipuncture and place intravenous catheters
  • Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
  • Obtain and position patients for radiographs and diagnostic imaging
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient condition
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
  • Educate clients regarding medications, vaccinations, treatment plans, and home-care instructions
  • Prepare estimates and discuss treatment recommendations with clients
  • Maintain inventory and ensure treatment and examination areas remain fully stocked and organized
  • Support opening and closing hospital procedures

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential preferred but not required
  • Minimum of one year of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient care
  • Excellent client communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to remain calm and efficient during medical emergencies
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
  • The ability to lift and restrain patients safely with assistance when needed
  • A commitment to teamwork and continued professional development
