Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: Four days per week, including at least two evenings until 6:30 PM and two Saturdays (7:30 - 12:30) per month; no Sundays, overnights, or major holidays Experience: Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience required

In addition to traditional veterinary services, our hospital offers diagnostic ultrasound, echocardiography, acupuncture, acupressure, physical rehabilitation, therapeutic laser therapy, and massage. This diverse range of services provides opportunities to use your current skills while learning advanced and integrative treatment modalities.

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate nursing care and hands-on support for patients.
• Perform venipuncture and collect patient samples.
• Process laboratory work and complete diagnostic testing.
• Fill and prepare pharmacy prescriptions accurately.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
• Use Fear Free and Low-Stress Handling techniques to promote patient comfort and safety.
• Educate clients about treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and complete patient documentation.
• Keep treatment and examination areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Collaborate with teammates to support efficient hospital workflow and outstanding client service.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• A genuine passion for patient care and client education.
• Confidence assisting with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Surgical and dental experience is preferred.
