Position Details

• Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
• Status: Full-time or Part-time
• Salary: $23.00–$28.00 per hour
• Schedule: Four-day work week; Monday through Friday; no weekends

Norwich Regional Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate and engaged Veterinary Technician to join our small but mighty team.

We are a one-doctor small animal general practice with a diverse clientele and a commitment to quality medicine, thoughtful scheduling, and exceptional patient care. Our schedule is intentionally designed to avoid double-booking while allowing us to accommodate urgent cases, creating an environment where our team can provide outstanding care without feeling overwhelmed.

What You’ll Do

• Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
• Place IV catheters and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, blood samples, and laboratory specimens
• Perform in-house laboratory testing
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members
• Support a positive and collaborative hospital environment

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring

• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or Licensure (LVT) preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Strong patient care and technical skills
