Veterinary Technician!

Position Details

Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician Status: Full-time Salary: $21 -0 $27 per hour (Depending on experience and licensure) Schedule: 3-4 shifts week, including an eve shift, 4th weekend rotation

We're looking for an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician with at least two years of small animal surgical experience to join our compassionate and collaborative team.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Prepare patients for surgery and provide attentive perioperative nursing care
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery as directed
  • Obtain complete patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
  • Administer and dispense medications accurately
  • Perform pharmacology calculations
  • Collect blood samples and place intravenous catheters
  • Support preventive care appointments and client education
  • Administer vaccines and educate clients about preventive healthcare
  • Assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring

  • At least two years of small animal surgical experience
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician credential preferred, but experienced veterinary technicians are encouraged to apply
  • Strong knowledge of vaccines and preventive medicine
  • Experience obtaining patient histories and maintaining medical records
  • Confidence performing venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Experience administering and dispensing medications
  • Knowledge of pharmacology calculations
  • Excellent communication and client education skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • A positive, dependable, and collaborative attitude
  • A genuine passion for helping pets and the people who love them
