Lake Alfred Animal Hospital is a high-quality, two-doctor small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team and help us continue delivering the compassionate, high-quality medicine our community has come to expect.

What You'll Do

• Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate techniques
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
• Obtain quality radiographs and perform in-house laboratory testing
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide exceptional nursing care
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service

What You'll Bring

• Previous veterinary technician experience
• Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and radiology
• Experience assisting with emergency and surgical patient care
• Excellent communication and client education skills
• Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
