Surgical Veterinary Technician (RVT/Tech/Assistant)
Fillmore Veterinary Hospital – Colorado Springs, CO

Fillmore Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time Surgical RVT, Technician, or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We’re a well-established, family-owned practice with deep roots in the Colorado Springs community, known for our supportive culture and commitment to high-quality care.

What you’ll be part of:

Companion animal practice with some exotics (pocket pets, rabbits, small reptiles)
4 DVMs supported by a strong technician and assistant team
6 exam rooms and a dedicated surgery suite
In-house diagnostics: digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Idexx lab, Zoetis Imagyst
Surgery 3–4 days/week (dentals, spay/neuter, mass removals, and more advanced procedures)
Mix of wellness, surgery, urgent care, and chronic case management

Your role:
This is a hands-on position where technicians are truly valued. You’ll work at the top of your license—supporting anesthesia, managing surgical patients, educating clients, and playing a key role in patient care from start to finish.

What we’re looking for:

Surgical experience preferred
Self-starter with strong communication skills
Passion for patient care and client education
Team-oriented mindset and positive attitude

Schedule:

Full-time: 4-day work week (10-hour shifts)
Monday–Friday hours, no weekends
Surgery shifts start at 7:15 AM

Compensation & Benefits:

$19–$23/hour
