What you’ll do:
➢ Assist doctors and the veterinary technician team with patient restraint, exams, treatments, and surgical prep
➢ Prepare, clean, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and suites
➢ Support radiographs, lab work, patient care, and daily hospital organization as part of a busy veterinary assistant team

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time. Required to lift up to forty (40) pounds. Employees will be expected to request assistance with lifting or carrying animals or materials over 40 pounds.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
➢ Radiation exposure (x-ray, CT Scan).
➢ Possible exposure to gas sterilization using ethylene oxide.
➢ Hazards associated with infected animals, controlled substances, and possible exposure to contagious diseases.
➢ Exposures to unpleasant odors and noises.
➢ Exposure to aggressive patients, bites, scratches, and animal wastes.

Appointments are made by obtaining a referral from a primary care veterinarian for specialty services. Emergency Care is on a walk-in basis during Emergency Care hours. (holidays, nights & weekends) We will work closely with your veterinarian in a manner that allows advanced care while maintaining compassion and affordable options.
