Creature Comforts is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our innovative team at our St Albans practice.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering high-quality patient care across consultations, surgery and case management
• Working closely with our veterinary and nursing teams to provide an efficient, joined-up clinical service
• Maintaining excellent clinical standards in line with RCVS requirements and Creature Comforts protocols
• Contributing to clinical audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Providing an outstanding client experience through clear, empathetic communication and well-managed treatment plans
• Building strong relationships with clients and supporting our membership model
• Collaborating closely with colleagues, sharing cases, knowledge and clinical learning across the team
• Supporting the development of others through coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback where appropriate
• Keeping up to date with CPD and sharing learning with the wider team
• Supporting accurate charging, appropriate product use and the overall commercial performance of the clinic
• Handling clinical elements of complaints appropriately and working in line with relevant regulatory, GDPR, HR and Health & Safety requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Veterinary Surgeon - a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience required.
• Proficiency in performing a variety of veterinary surgical procedures
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
