We are looking for a full-time or part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Isle Vets.
About the Role
Our Veterinary Surgeons:
- Consult throughout the day
- Have at least 1 full operating day per week
- Benefit from dedicated time for:
- Client communication
- Reporting results
- Case discussions
Working Pattern
- 4-day week (approximately 41 hours)
- Minimum of 3 vets per day (usually 4), ensuring strong team support
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (consulting only)
- No out-of-hours work

Our purpose-built clinic is located in the rural area of Ely, Cambridgeshire, and is equipped with:
- X-ray
- Ultrasound
- Endoscope
- Dental X-ray
We have an experienced and supportive team that works together to create a positive working environment.
Our Team
- 8 Veterinary Surgeons
- All general practitioners
- Each with their own areas of interest and enhanced knowledge
- Strong culture of case discussion and collaboration
- Supported by a visiting orthopaedic specialist (weekly)
- 8 Veterinary Nurses
- With special interests including:
- Wound care
- ISFM certificate
- Emergency and Critical Care
We work closely with local charities, particularly Cats Protection, supporting a wide range of welfare cases.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You’ll bring:
* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
* Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
