Job Description

Our practice is growing, so we are looking to talk to local veterinary talent who want to help take our practice from strength to strength!

  • This is a great opportunity to join our Stoke Festival Park practice who are looking to make some very exciting changes
  • If you have a special interest in exotics this practice could be perfect as the nursing team are extremely driven to increase this in practice and any special equipment required can be brought into practice
  • With this practice growing we are open to full and part time
  • You would join a lovely, experienced team
  • There is no OOH and weekend cover is minimal
  • We build time into your rota to allow you the opportunity to complete paperwork so that you can get home on time!
  • 28 days holiday increasing to 33 after two years’ service, this is inclusive of bank holidays.
  • CPD is encouraged and we offer a minimum allowance of £1500 (FTE) plus 5 paid days off to attend or study per year. Certificates can also be supported.
  • Enhanced employer contributory pension scheme, 6.5% employer and 2.5% employee.

Our caring and supportive practice is led by Craig, who has dedicated the 10 years running this practice. Join our growing practice and become a valued member of our team, which consists of:

  • 2 Vets
  • 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
  • 2 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)
  • 4 Receptionists

Gold standard patient care is important to us so If you would like to pursue a special interest and embark on a certificate we would fully support and fund this.

Stoke-on-Trent, nestled in the heart of Staffordshire, is just off the M6, about an hour south of Manchester and an hour north of Birmingham. If you love the countryside, the Peak District is a short drive away, offering ideal spots for day hikes through historical towns. Our practice is located on Festival Heights retail park on the northern outskirts of Stoke city centre, close to local amenities and public transport links. Conveniently, we are near the A500, which connects the city to the M6, making it an excellent location for commuting from nearby towns and cities.

Work-Life Balance:
We value the work-life balance of our team members. Therefore, we offer flexible working hours to accommodate your needs, whether you require part-time hours due to childcare commitments or prefer full-time work. There are no out-of-hours (OOH) requirements, and weekends are not currently covered by a vet, however as the team builds this will be considered.

Your Role:
As a growing practice we are always interested in hearing from local talent interested in working with us, because everyone is at different stages in their veterinary career, we are open to speak to anyone. So, if you are an experienced vet looking for somewhere they can mentor and lead a team or a new graduate wanting that first step on the career ladder we want to hear from you. By joining us you will be part of a genuinely supportive team, who will help you to develop your skills. CPD is encouraged and funded.

We offer 15-minute consults, with additional time built into your schedule to manage paperwork and to catch up on your notes, ensuring you get to go home on time. We’re always open to new ideas that will drive us forward, so we’re looking for a vet who will bring positive enthusiasm to help push our growth. With the support and guidance of an experienced team, your voice is always heard at Stoke festival park.
