Job Description

Medivet Colchester Maldon Road is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team, providing exceptional first-opinion clinical care to our patients and clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon looking to enjoy a high level of clinical freedom while being supported by an experienced team and the wider Medivet network. You'll have the opportunity to manage your own caseload, including some sole charge work, and develop your clinical interests in a well-equipped practice with a loyal and established client base.

You will work alongside our Lead Vet, Alex, who holds a GPCert (ExAP), benefiting from his experience and clinical expertise while enjoying excellent opportunities for collaboration, mentorship and case discussion.

Our practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy, enabling us to provide a high standard of patient care and case work-up. We actively encourage personal and professional development and welcome candidates looking to further their skills in areas of particular interest.

The role is ideally suited to a vet with at least one year's experience in small animal practice who is confident with first-opinion consultations and routine surgical procedures.

The Role

  • Ideally 3 days per week (flexibility available for the right candidate)
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays at our Colchester London Road clinic

  • Opportunity to work up cases and build strong client relationships
  • Support from experienced colleagues across the local Medivet community
