Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a rewarding part-time role within a friendly, supportive and well-established practice?
With exciting changes taking place at Bristol Imperial Vets for Pets from November 2026, we’re looking for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic team. We’re proud to have colleagues who have been with us since the practice first opened almost 10 years ago, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both our team and clients.
We’re a locally owned and independently run practice with an experienced team of vets, nurses and non-clinical colleagues. Our vets have a range of clinical interests, including surgery, dentistry, feline medicine and imaging, so you’ll be joining a team with plenty of knowledge and experience to share.
We see a varied and interesting caseload and benefit from a close relationship with a nearby referral service, giving our team excellent support when more complex cases arise.

We’re looking for an all-round Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys delivering high-quality patient care and preferably has a particular interest in rabbits and other small animals Building strong relationships with clients is of course a must.
Our varied caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, so you’ll ideally be confident across all aspects of everyday small animal medicine and surgery.
Alongside strong clinical skills, we’re looking for someone who is a great communicator, enjoys working collaboratively and wants to become part of a genuinely supportive team.
This is a part-time position working 29.9 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a 1 in 5 weekend rota.
Why Bristol?
Our practice is ideally located with great local amenities, plenty of parking and excellent public transport links. The train station and nearest airport are both around 15 minutes away, while the M4, M5 and M32 are easily accessible.
