As a Vet you will be accountable for patient care within the clinic, whilst ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

Veterinary Surgeon – Medivet Watford 24 Hour Hospital

Medivet Watford 24 Hour Hospital is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our experienced and supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy, well-equipped 24-hour hospital, offering an excellent balance of consulting and hospital-based clinical work. The role consists of a 4-day week, with:

  • 2 days consulting

  • 2 days working within the hospital

This structure provides the perfect mix of client continuity, medical case management, inpatient care, and surgical exposure.

As one of Medivet’s key hospitals, Watford works closely with our sister clinic, in Borehamwood, providing varied and interesting caseloads with excellent continuity of care.

Our hospital is exceptionally well equipped, with access to:

  • CT imaging

  • Endoscopy

  • Laparoscopic equipment

  • Ventilator support

  • Digital X-ray

  • Ultrasound

  • Dental X-ray facilities

You will be working alongside a highly experienced and collaborative team including:

  • 13 day vets plus 3 dedicated night vets

  • 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)

  • 5 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)

  • 5 Veterinary Care Assistants

  • 6 Receptionists

The clinical team also includes multiple certificate holders in both surgery and medicine, creating a fantastic environment for clinical progression, mentorship, and case collaboration.
