If you’re seeking a flexible veterinary role where you can grow your skills and explore your clinical interests, Dundee Vets for Pets could be the perfect fit.
We’re offering a salary of up to £60,000 for an experienced vet to join our well-established, supportive team.
Located in Scotland’s sunniest city, Dundee offers something for everyone. To the north lies the scenic beauty of Angus, while to the south you’ll find the Kingdom of Fife. The city itself is rich in history and is famously associated with the “three Js”: jute, jam and journalism.
Beyond the city, you’ll have easy access to a diverse landscape of castles, abbeys, waterfalls, forests, mountains and unspoilt beaches. Whether you enjoy wildlife, outdoor adventures, or discovering a mix of traditional and modern restaurants, cafés, pubs and independent shops, there’s plenty to explore.
Our purpose-built practice is designed to deliver high clinical standards; with excellent facilities and all the equipment you need to provide outstanding patient care. We have a loyal and growing client base, and most cases are worked up in-house, giving you the opportunity to develop your areas of interest. Certification is actively encouraged and fully funded.
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week. The role also includes a shared rota of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am–1:00pm).
We’re looking for a vet with solid small animal experience gained in general practice, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. While specialist interests and postgraduate qualifications are welcomed and fully supported, they’re not essential.
As you’d expect, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension, healthcare, and paid professional memberships, along with additional perks such as strong career development opportunities and access to exclusive lifestyle and retail discounts (including up to 20% off at Pets at Home).
We also offer relocation support for candidates moving from within the UK or overseas, including visa sponsorship where required, as an A+ rated sponsor.

Since 1991, when we were a wholesaler with a team of just 15, we’ve been focused on getting better every day. By putting pets before profit, working as a team and taking pride in everything we do, we’ve grown into a 451 store network with more than 8,913 colleagues working in our Stores, Grooming Salons, Distribution Centres and Support Office.
We are the UK’s leading pet specialist, providing pet owners with all their product needs, as well as our Vets for Pets practices and Grooming salons. We support our colleagues to work with pride and passion, to bring honesty and integrity to work every day, and to do it all with a sense of fun and fearlessness. We never shy away from having the important conversations and doing what we say we’ll do.
Our values and behaviours are practiced daily across the business and are what really makes us an enjoyable, exciting place to work. We're always striving to develop and reward our colleagues with an extensive in-house series of training programmes, wellbeing initiatives and a comprehensive benefits package. In 2018 we were delighted to be voted top 5 in the Great Place to Work UK’s Large category.
Our colleagues are central to the success of the business and are fully trained in pet care and dedicated to animal welfare. Pets are central to everything that we do and 93% of colleagues have their own pets too!
