
Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon - Certificate Holder
Location: Forest Vets Harlow, Essex
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) – 4 or 5 day weeks can both be considered. Weekend rota is 1 in 10 on-call, No OOH
Salary: Up to £95,000 depending on experience
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a certificate in surgery looking for a new role in a state-of-the-art practice? We have a great opportunity to join Forest Vets, as they re-open their brand new site!

- Across our four sites, you’ll be part of a talented group of 14 Day Vets and 3 Night Vets, including certificate holders in ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and small animal surgery. This provides a fantastic opportunity for case discussion, referral support, and ongoing learning within a collaborative network.
- Generate your own cases and work on your own clinics with a bias towards orthopaedic care
- At Harlow you will work as part of a 2-3 Vet team, with access to excellent facilities including 5 consult rooms, surgery, x-ray, and an in-house lab. For advanced diagnostics and procedures, our nearby hospital offers CT, MRI, and scopes, and you’re welcome to follow up your cases there if desired.
- Work with our dynamic and experienced Nursing team and support our new graduates
- Harlow is easily reachable from Hertfordshire, Essex and North London.
About You:
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Certificate in surgery
Confidence performing basic fracture repairs, cruciate repair and advanced soft tissue surgery
Interest in covering both surgical and some consulting duties
