Job Description

Job title: Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Syston, Leicestershire

Practice: Kings Veterinary Centre

Salary: Up to £62,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time working 4-day week, 1:9 weekends (Melton) (Fri-Sat-Sun), Sat morning surgery, followed by on call. Monday off and half a day. 1:10 weekends (Rutland).

The team

Kings Veterinary Centre is a supportive and community driven first opinion practice based in Syston, Leicestershire. We have a diverse and varied caseload, and our facilities are fully equipped to handle the services we provide.

A keen interest in medicine would be advantageous – preferably a certificate holder or keen to undertake one.

As a practice, we strive to combine the provision of exceptional, bespoke care with progressive current best practice in veterinary medicine.

Our clinical club meetings are a great way to discuss cases and exchange ideas, and we hold additional in-house CPD days for the whole team to continually improve and advance our standards.

Certificates are encouraged as our clients would much prefer an increase in our internal expertise We have 6 certificate holders across the business with an advanced practitioner in small animal medicine along with surgical and ECC certificate holders.

We offer a four-day week as a good work-life balance is essential to maintain the high demands of veterinary life.

The diary is always adjusted to make way for important appointments, family events and emergencies. There is time built into the working day for phone calls and administration. Our team are fully involved in practice decisions.

We are members of the Linnaeus family, collaborating with other likeminded professionals; sharing knowledge, ideas and skills.
