About us
Lenesa Govender, the lead vet and Practice Owner of Epsom Vets4Pets, opened the practice in 2016, bringing with her 18 years of experience as a vet, mainly in senior roles. Lenesa has a passion for learning and keeping her knowledge up to date and thoroughly encouraging and supporting the same in her hugely talented and caring team.
“I am very proud of the team I have, a caring, thoughtful and compassionate bunch where everyone enjoys coming to work every day. Our pet owners trust us with their pet, and I take that very seriously. This has built trust and respect from all our bonded clients.”
The team
You will be joining a fun, hardworking, dedicated team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, Practice Manager, 2 SVN, 2 VCA and 2 receptionists all trying to make a difference to our clients by offering exceptional patient and client care with community at our core.
We also have peripatetic orthopaedic and cardiac vets who visit which enables us to do more in depth surgery and work up cases within our practice, as well as also being an approved nurse training centre.
The practice
The practice itself is designed for more rewarding work. It’s equipped to a very high standard offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, a growing orthopaedic kit and separate dog and cat wards, 3 consult rooms, theatre and a dedicated office/tea room.
There’s also plenty of onsite parking and is ideally situated close to the town centre and within a 7minute walk of Epsom train station.
You and the role
This rewarding position is full or part time 30-40 hours a week either 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm (across 4 days if preferred) and just 1 in 3 Saturdays. We don’t work on Sundays and there is no OOH, ensuring you can enjoy an excellent balance between work and home.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for an experienced vet with a broad range of GP skills. We are lucky to have a varied caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, so you’ll be confident in all aspects of everyday small animal medicine and surgery.
The practice offers 15-minute consults as standard but 30-minute consults for puppy vaccinations and new clients
As well as strong clinical skills, we’re also looking for someone skilled in building strong relationships with patients and clients, as well as someone who thrives working as part of a great team.

We never shy away from having the important conversations and doing what we say we’ll do.
Our values and behaviours are practiced daily across the business and are what really makes us an enjoyable, exciting place to work. We're always striving to develop and reward our colleagues with an extensive in-house series of training programmes, wellbeing initiatives and a comprehensive benefits package.
