
Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) is seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary specialist practice in Canberra, Australia.
The Position
At ARH our mission is to provide pets with the most comprehensive treatment available in a caring and professional environment.
As a board-certified Internist, this role will be primarily clinically focused, ideally full time (4-day/5-day week), although applicants preferring a part time role would be considered.
Our Team
There are two other Internal Medicine Specialists on site as well as a multidisciplinary team of specialists in critical care, surgery, oncology, rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging who work collaboratively and closely with referring veterinarians and clients to provide the highest level of patient care.
Our internal medicine service is supported by two specialists (one being the Head of Department), an intern and a full team of dedicated nurses. Our ECC veterinarians support the specialty services after hours and on weekends. The ECC service is intrinsically linked to our referral services, offering exceptional case transition and support.
Our Hospital
ARH Canberra relocated in November 2021 to a brand-new purpose-built Specialist and Emergency Facility out near the airport, our new state-of-the-art hospital has been designed with one goal: to help you deliver exceptional patient care. The facility features three dedicated surgical suites, eight consultation rooms, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory with CBC, biochemistry, coags, sedivue, and blood gas capabilities. Advanced imaging tools include ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, a 64-slice CT scanner, and high-field MRI. We also provide a dedicated grieving room to support clients through difficult moments. Onsite perks include free undercover parking, a constantly stocked snack cupboard, and great coffee to keep you fuelled throughout your shift.
