Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Receptionist
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $22 – $25 per hour, depending on experience
  • Schedule: Four ten-hour shifts. Monday-Saturday, 8 am-6 pm.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
  • Answer phones and manage high call volume efficiently
  • Schedule appointments across a multi-doctor calendar
  • Check patients in and out accurately
  • Review estimates and invoices with clarity and confidence
  • Collect payments and process transactions accurately
  • Communicate hospital policies and service recommendations clearly
  • Coordinate closely with technicians and doctors to maintain smooth patient flow
  • Maintain clean, organized front desk and lobby areas
  • Follow up with clients via calls, texts, or emails as needed
  • Document communication accurately in medical records

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical office preferred
  • Strong customer service background
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities at once
  • Clear, compassionate communication skills
  • Comfort discussing estimates and payments professionally
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in busy or emotional situations
  • Team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed
