Pacific Heights Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, newly renovated two-doctor practice looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our fantastic team. Our Veterinary Receptionists are an essential part of the client and patient experience. You’ll be the friendly face, calm voice, and organized problem-solver helping pet owners navigate their visits while keeping communication flowing between clients and our medical team. What You’ll Do

• Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
• Deliver exceptional customer service during every client interaction
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other client communications
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments efficiently
• Check clients and patients in and out of the hospital
• Maintain accurate and complete client and patient records
• Process payments and assist clients with invoices, estimates, and account questions
• Communicate appointment instructions, hospital updates, and follow-up information clearly and compassionately
• Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and support team members
• Assist with prescription refill requests and other client needs according to hospital protocols
• Monitor appointment flow and help keep the hospital schedule running smoothly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Support clients through routine visits as well as stressful or emotional situations
• Take ownership of responsibilities and follow through to achieve positive outcomes
• Ask for help when you need it and readily offer help to your teammates
• Contribute to a positive, supportive environment built on teamwork and mutual respect

What You’ll Bring

• Previous veterinary reception or veterinary client service experience
• Passion for pets, people, and exceptional customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization, time-management, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in a busy veterinary environment
• Confidence communicating with clients during both routine and emotionally challenging situations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
