Position Details

Role: Veterinary Receptionist Status: Full-time Salary: $15.00–$15.50 per hour Schedule: Monday–Thursday and Saturday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with Fridays off; schedule subject to change Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and safely interact with cats and dogs

We’re looking for a calm, cheerful, and professional Veterinary Receptionist to support our clients, patients, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians. In this role, you’ll help create a positive experience for every person and pet while keeping communication, scheduling, and daily hospital operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Answer incoming calls in a calm, cheerful, and professional manner.
  • Create a welcoming experience and help every client feel valued.
  • Schedule appointments and help manage the hospital’s daily calendar.
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records.
  • Document detailed notes and communications within the medical record.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
  • Coordinate communication between departments and hospital team members.
  • Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care.
  • Educate clients about wellness care, pet nutrition, and other aspects of their pets’ health.
  • Advocate for patients and help maintain a safe, organized, and effective hospital environment.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities throughout the day.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to support an efficient hospital workflow.
