  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: From $20.00
  • Schedule: 4 x 10-hour workweeks

Newport Hills Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to our front desk team. Our Veterinary Receptionists are the face of our practice. This role plays an important part in our community's reputation and in supporting our clients and patients by providing great customer service.

A love of animals and a customer service background in the veterinarian field would be a great fit for this position. This is a great opportunity to join an outstanding practice to build your career in the veterinary field!

Newport Hills Animal Hospital is looking for a full time experienced receptionist to join our team.

What You’ll Do Every Day:

  • Be the smiling voice and face of our hospital—answering phones, booking appointments, and greeting clients and their furry family members
  • Build real relationships with clients who have been coming to us for years
  • Help keep everything running smoothly: checking patients in/out, processing payments,managing records
  • Keep the lobby clean and organized for our clients
  • Work closely with our doctors
  • Filing medications and drawing up vaccines
  • Educating our clients regarding food, flea control, and preventative medicine.
  • Be a team player by helping out whether that’s carrying out a client’s pet, a bag of food, calming a scared puppy/kitten. Show compassion to our clients.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a positive and warm personality and loves taking care of clients
  • Is extremely reliable—our clients and team count on you!
  • Can multitask in a fast-paced stressful environment
  • Has excellent phone and computer skills
  • Is comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and energy levels
  • Dependable attendance is required
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • The ability to walk, bend, squat, stand or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day
  • Must have experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Available to work a weekend day.
