Position Details

• Role: Veterinary Receptionist
• Status: Part-time
• Salary: $16.50 – $17.50 per hour
• Schedule: 8 am-6 pm *Two business days a week except for Wednesdays which we are closed.

East Fishkill Animal Hospital is looking for an established veterinary receptionist to add to our team of compassionate professionals who aim to provide high-quality veterinary care.

Ever wonder what it would be like to work in the vet field and still have a life? Well, at East Fishkill Animal Hospital, we don't work nights or holidays and have weekends off! Duties include:

• Assisting clients in person, over the phone, and via email by scheduling appointments and answering questions.
• Processing payments, cash/check handling.
• Making sure to carefully follow practice policies and procedures designed to WOW pet parents with our high-quality and compassionate care.
• Assisting your team members with a variety of general duties, such as helping to keep the reception area neat and tidy, drafting memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents.
• Sharing your unique gifts and talents with the team by suggesting new ideas or ways we can show how passionate we are about helping pets live long, healthy lives!

What you should bring to the team:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must!
• Must be tech savvy with the ability to learn new software and enter data with accuracy and consistency.
• Dependability. Clients count on us to be there for their furry (and not so furry) family members.
• Prior veterinary experience is not required, but a love for animals and a sincere interest in the animal care field are essential!
