Winsted Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and wants to help pets and their families receive exceptional care.

Our reception team plays an essential role in every client’s experience. As the first voice clients hear on the phone and the first face they see when they arrive, you’ll help create a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment from check-in through checkout.

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Do

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Answer incoming calls and assist clients with questions and concerns
  • Schedule appointments and help coordinate the hospital’s daily workflow
  • Check clients and patients in and out efficiently
  • Process payments and explain invoices and hospital policies
  • Maintain accurate client and patient records
  • Manage prescription refill requests and relay messages to the medical team
  • Communicate appointment information and patient updates to the appropriate team members
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide an exceptional client experience
  • Jump in to support teammates during busy periods
